Fairy tales, passed down through generations and across regions, are adorned with symbolic elements such as fairies, wizards, forests, and transformations, creating rich images that stimulate the imagination and possessing a lasting and universal appeal. These stories have not remained confined to literature, but have flexibly transformed and become deeply rooted in our culture, blending into diverse fields such as art, theater, design, and fashion.
This exhibition explores, from the perspectives of art, design, and fashion, how the world of fairy tales, which spread primarily in Europe, has repeatedly taken on new forms while resonating with the sensibilities of each era, focusing on illustrated books.
