The Chiba City Fireworks Festival is a beloved summer tradition in Chiba City.
To commemorate the 900th anniversary of the founding of Chiba, this year's event will feature a spectacular fireworks display that can only be seen at Makuhari, Chiba City's waterfront, along with traditional large-scale fireworks, the latest creative fireworks, and musical accompaniment, creating one of the finest fireworks shows in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
[Main Highlights]
For the first time in the history of this event, approximately 24,000 fireworks, one of the largest displays in Japan, will be launched under the theme of "Chiba City 900th Anniversary: Fireworks that Pave the Way for the Future ~Love & Peace~".
1. As a special program commemorating the 900th anniversary of the founding of Chiba, approximately 100 large fireworks, including 10-inch shells and others over 5 inches in diameter, and approximately 900 fireworks launched over the sea will be launched in conjunction with music, along with creative fireworks such as the moon and star crest associated with the Chiba clan and the number "900".
2. In addition to approximately 5,000 spectacular fireworks launched diagonally from Makuhari Beach towards Tokyo Bay, some reaching up to 150 meters in height and illuminating the surface of the sea, new fan-shaped fireworks will be launched from all directions to provide a three-dimensional and wide-ranging spectacle.
3. In conjunction with a wonderful message to send to your loved one, we will launch a magnificent "Shakudama" (100cm diameter) firework, showcasing the pinnacle of fireworks technology.
4. Approximately 10,000 fireworks, provided by ZOZO Co., Ltd., the branding partner of this tournament, will light up the night sky and the sea, culminating in a magnificent grand finale with spectacular fireworks over the sea and golden chrysanthemum-shaped fireworks being launched all at once.
