Chiba City's summer tradition, the "Chiba Three-Generation Family Summer Festival," will be held again this year!
Centered around Chiba Central Park, the festival is packed with traditional and vibrant events, including lively portable shrines and floats, parades, Yosakoi Naruko dance, and a children's warrior procession!
Among the many events, the "Oyako Sandai Chiba Odori," where many people dance through the streets to the sound of drums, is a must-see. Be sure to experience the vibrant energy that unites people across generations.
Furthermore, this year marks a significant milestone: the 900th anniversary of the founding of Chiba Prefecture.
At the closing ceremony, a sky lantern launch will be held to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the founding of Chiba, symbolizing the city's history and aspirations for the future. The festival's finale will be beautifully illuminated with a magical glow.
We invite you and your family of three generations to enjoy this festival, which has been passed down for half a century, with special touches unique to this year.
