Special Exhibition: Herbal Medicines - Blessings from Nature - Chiba Prefectural Central Museum x A Pharmacist's Musings
This exhibition will introduce medicinal herbs (the plants, animals, and minerals that are the source of herbal medicines) from the perspectives of natural history and history, focusing on the "Former Chiba Prefectural Herbal Garden Herbal Specimen Collection."
Herbal medicines are a treasure trove of wisdom passed down since ancient times. In ancient China, Shennong, the god of medicine and agriculture, is said to have used a red whip to sweep away all the herbs and tasted them to determine whether they were medicinal or poisonous.
Humans have searched the mountains and fields for medicines necessary for survival and have explored ways to use them. Herbal medicines have always been close to us, both now and in the past. Enjoy the stories of medicine told by a variety of herbal medicines.
In addition, this exhibition will be a collaboration with the hugely popular novel "The Apothecary's Notes," and will feature special events that will allow visitors to enjoy the charm of herbal medicines even more, such as a discussion between the author and a pharmaceutical expert, and a character photo spot.

From JR Soga Station, take the Kominato Railway Bus or Keisei Bus bound for Chiba East Chiba University Hospital for approximately 15 minutes, then get off at Chuo Hakubutsukan (Central Museum) bus stop and walk for about 6 minutes. |
| Price | Museum admission fee: 500 yen for adults / 250 yen for high school and university students. Free for junior high school students and younger, those aged 65 and over, those with a disability certificate, and one caregiver. Anyone can visit the ecological garden for free. |
