"Discover the Charms of Chiba Week! Chiba-kun Makes an Appearance!"

In a refreshing plaza with a waterfall, we'll be hosting events where you can see, learn, and experience things like a PR corner showcasing the charms of Chiba, and workshops that the whole family can enjoy!

〇 ~150th Anniversary of Peanut Introduction to Chiba Prefecture~ Let's Make Peanut Magnets
This year marks the 150th anniversary of peanut cultivation in Chiba Prefecture. We will be making magnets using real peanut shells.
■Wednesday, August 12th, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM / 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Limited to the first 50 people per session.

○ "National Abundant Seas Creation Convention" Chiba-kun Pin Badge Making
This is a workshop to make can badges for the "46th National Abundant Seas Creation Conference - Fusa no Kuni - Senba Prefecture Conference," which will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2027, in Asahi City and Choshi City.
■ August 13th (Thursday) 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM / 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM - 3:00 PM ・Limited to the first 150 people per session

Let's make a tote bag with a design by Chiba Prefecture!
This tote bag features a design that takes the patterns found on "Man'iwai," a celebratory garment worn by fishermen and said to have originated in Chiba Prefecture, and adapts them in a modern style, resulting in a cool and refreshing look.

Let's make dinosaur pin badges!
Color in an original carnivorous dinosaur coloring page from the Chiba Prefectural Central Museum and make a button badge.

- Ice Chiba-kun?? Sculpture performance
■August 15th (Sat) 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
A pillar of ice is sculpted into the shape of Chiba Prefecture by skilled artisans. Come and witness the moment of completion with Chiba-kun! Chiba-kun will make an appearance.

- Get the dinosaurs trapped in the ice!
■August 15th (Sat) 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM / 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM ・Target age: Elementary school students and younger ・Limited to the first 30 people per session
■Skull replica exhibition: August 12th (Wed) - 17th (Mon)

Let's search for fossils inside Sogo department store!
■Sunday, August 16th: 11:00 AM / 1:00 PM / 2:00 PM (Approximately 30 minutes per session) ・Capacity: First 12 people per session ・Target age: Elementary school students and older

Boshu fan making experience workshop
■August 14th (Fri) - 16th (Sun) 11:00 AM / 2:00 PM Approximately 1 hour ・7th floor = next to the central escalator ・Capacity: 6 people per session ・Target age: Elementary school students (middle grades and above)　
■Participation fee: 8,800 yen per person

A workshop on how to brew delicious coffee by a barista from The Rising Sun Coffee.
■ August 13th (Thursday) 11:00 AM / 2:00 PM (approximately 45 minutes) ・Instructor (Barista): Keisuke Narusawa ・Capacity: 7 people per session ・Target audience: Elementary school students and older *Elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian
■Participation fee: 500 yen per person (includes coffee tasting and a souvenir)
