Make your own original bag using plants and discover new things
"Play and Grow Club" is a workshop by Chiba Ushino Hiroba with the theme of "nature, growth, and connection."
This time, the "eco bag making" activity that was held last time has been upgraded.
You will stroll around Ushino Hiroba, collect plants, and use them to make your own original bag.
In this workshop, participants will walk on their own two feet, search with their own eyes, collect plants with their own hands, and make their own bags. They will spend time learning and growing together with nature, while cherishing their natural feelings of wanting to know and wanting to try.
■ Learn about the plant world and stroll around Ushinohiroba
First, go and collect some plants.
What shapes do the various plants in Ushinohiroba have?What color is it?
You will notice that each plant has its own form of life: star-like shapes, cloud-like shapes, the same green color but different greens when you look closely, a beautiful yellow that looks like it will wither.
■ Make your own one-of-a-kind tote bag at Ushino Hiroba
In this workshop, participants will use a technique called "tatataki-zome," which involves beating flowers and plants to dye them, to transfer the colors and shapes of the plants they have collected onto bags.
Have fun imagining what kind of pattern you want and what colors will come out of it, and create your own unique bag.
At Ushino Hiroba, we aim to be a place where everyone who spends time here can think and act for themselves.
During the event, staff will prioritize safety while supporting customers' desire to "try it out!"
It's time for an adventure that begins at Ushino Hiroba.

Through this workshop, we would like to think together with everyone about what the future holds for our children five, ten years from now, and even further into the future, as well as the coexistence of nature, people, and animals.
Therefore, to ensure that participants remember Ushino Hiroba even after the workshop is over and continue to think about the future together, we are giving them a "Secret Seed that Connects to the Future" and a pair of Chiba Ushino Hiroba original gloves as a gift.
The "secret seeds that connect to the future" are herb seeds.
Try sowing the seeds in your own garden using the "Chiba Ushino Hiroba Original Work Gloves" that you used to collect plants in this workshop.
Try touching the soil while imagining what kind of sprouts will appear and what kind of flowers will bloom.
We on the farm also sow the same seeds in the same season, so they bloom at the same time.
We hope that people will remember Ushino Hiroba in some way, whether it be by rejoicing at the sprouts that appear, or by picking them and enjoying them in cooking.
In this way, we hope to gradually increase the number of people who care about nature.
