Komagata Kannon Hall
The largest Buddha statue in the city
The Onari Kaido, which connects what is now Funabashi City and Togane City, was built for Tokugawa Ieyasu's falconry. The Great Buddha is enshrined within the grounds of Komagata Kannon-do, which was built to pray for the safety of those passing through and to ward off epidemics. The back of the 2.36m-tall bronze statue of Amida Buddha is engraved with the names of the villagers who donated funds for the Buddha's construction.
