Former Kamiya Denbei Inage Villa Kyuukamiya Denbei Nagebesso
Western-style architecture that retains the atmosphere of a seaside resort
This Western-style villa was built in 7 by "Japan's Wine King, Kamiya Denbei," founder of Kamiya Bar in Asakusa and Ushiku Chateau in Ibaraki. One of the highlights is the interior design, typical of Kamiya, who loved wine, with grape-shaped ceiling decorations and transoms. The building is also valuable as a reminder of the time when Inage was a seaside resort, and has been designated a national registered tangible cultural property.
